Remove Cobalt

Takes Cobalt off a Kobo plugged into this computer. Your books, settings and applications stay.

  1. Connect your Kobo via USB

    Plug the Kobo in. It asks on its own screen whether to connect: tap Connect. Until you do, no drive appears. Then choose KOBOeReader here.

  2. Take Cobalt off your Kobo

    Removes the Cobalt programs and its menu entry. NickelMenu itself is left alone, because other mods use it, and so is any menu entry that is not Cobalt's.

  3. Eject and restart your Kobo

    Eject the drive before unplugging, then hold the power button until the reader restarts.
