App setup

Before you install

  1. Create a Lichess Personal Access Token granting only board:play. Create a Lichess API token
  2. Save the token in a private local file, then install it under the exact secret name lichess. kobo secret set lichess --from <token-file> --device <address>
  3. Use Cobalt 0.3.5 or newer. This app uses the responsive Folio interface in protocol 12.
  4. Official Lichess Board API. Rapid and Classical seeks.

Install Cobalt directly from your browser

Plug your Kobo into this computer and the browser writes Cobalt across. About a minute, and no terminal. Applications after that arrive over Wi-Fi, with no cable.

Works in Chrome, Edge and Opera. Check your Kobo is supported.
